Quick Apply Part-time 2 hours ago Full Job Description Maintenance and cleaning - to ensure the overall appearance of the church Inspect and clean the church once a week.
Duties include, but are not limited to, sweeping, dusting, mopping and vacuuming.
Empty trash and recycling receptacles regularly Manage cleaning and paper supplies for bathrooms and kitchen, to ensure we are stocked.
All requests to be submitted to trustees.
Grounds Keeping - to ensure a tidy and safe environment.
General clean-up and maintenance of walkways, parking area, entrances.
Cut grass and rake leaves and edge sidewalks as needed.
Work with trustees to set up quarterly church work day Event Set-up and Break Down Set up furnishing and supplies as needed for Worship services, social hours, and if needed by various groups.
When asked, break down set-ups after events, including storing supplies and furnishings.
Special Events, including weddings, funerals, memorials.
(Sexton will be compensated directly) Ensure church is clean Clean bathrooms before and after the services Clean sanctuary for next service.
Physical Requirements Lift/carry weights up to 50 lbs.
Climb a ladder, stoop, kneel.
Tolerate inclement weather Operate and maintain basic power tools, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, etc.
These responsibilities may change from time to time.
Applicants must undergo a background check.
Sexton reports to the Pastor and Moderator of Trustees.
However, he will coordinate with others staff.
